Today, I poured myself a fresh cup of coffee and realized that the blog Millennium Mom just had to go. She was really irritating me. The concept was good. But in the end, it was limiting. Yes, I’m a mom. And there are definitely some great topics to blog about in that area, from issues with teens to over-involvement of the government. However, frankly, I don’t feel like getting wrapped up in the cut throat world of social media moms when so many other blogable topics exist.
So, while my intention is to continue blogging about some topics related to parenting in today’s society, Coffee with Caroline frees me up to write about other issues that really have nothing to do with parenting, including the debt ceiling debates, election 2012 and a really great recipe for Easter lamb.
I welcome you to explore all these topics and more as we continue into the new millennium.

Good call. Mommy blogs are a dime a dozen, and while I enjoyed yours, I applaud the change. We are more than mothers to our children (hopefully), otherwise we’d just be telling the same tired stories, changed a bit according to the times. I suppose there are some who do just this, but I strive to have a life in addition to having kids, and I don’t want to be defined by their existence and my functions as a mother. I know you have more to offer too!
